Ahh, the Days of Yore.........( riot grrrl)

..... they dont make 'em like this anymore.................... this was All there was in h.s. (when i was in h.s.).......... these were my heroes.......... this was all we listened to. Funny enough- i actually didnt get in to sleater til much later- but it was all bikini kill n hole, and all stuff like that in h.s......... i still listen/and am obsessed with bands like these/this era/this genre/ this culture. it's odd-- ive been listening to sO much middle eastern music lately- (punjabi n so forth n what not).. that..... u aL most forget about bands like these......... (Almost)......... i'm just sO fixated right now, on punjabi/bhangra........ its really become an obsession- that i almost- like everything else is obsolete (almost). i literally- its all i listen to. ---its changed me forever- and how i hear music, and what i think music 'should be'. that...... i dont see myself going back to 'punk'- anymore. (or as much). and maybe thats a lofty thing to say........ (n just plain ridiculous)- even coming from my mouth- seeing that i have 'punk roots'. but............ ive definitely evolved, as a listener- always been open to new and 'other' music, never subscribing to only 'one'. and i dunno......... this just reminds me of my roots........... and sort of, where i came from 'musically'.......... it all started 'punk rock'/riot grrrl- especially in my high school. it was the coolest as far as music n culture/exposing me to so much. i will always love this genre- it holds a special place in my heart- and is pure nostalgia.


I wish to see a 'revival' - of this, my friend was in one of the coolest 'riot grrl' bands of all time- and i wish everyday- they reunite. (they were my first 'concert'- too). its that or cranberries- i can never remember which


i guess Wild Flag is a 'revival' of sorts.....
