Music technologies (ie Spotify, Pandora etc.) have a long way to go. I imagine a world that tracks your music listening much deeper, much more detailed- much more 'archive oriented'.
For example- I am trying to track a song, I discovered a couple years ago on Twitter. Twitter is not good at easily retrieving information from the past. I use it to archive my music listening (partly), yet when comes time to retrieve a song, of the past.. its not so good. eBlogger n blogs like this are more conducive to that sort of 'archival', but even then, if you forgot name you're screwed. You just have to peel back through time.
Anyhow- I imagine a world that, a Spotify more specifically, b/c I truly do love Spotify n seeing exactly what ppl are listening to in real time. We just have to get the archival part down, and what'd be cooler is to see your friends/ n where they are, n seeing what they listen to by region, n then grouping that n finding patterns along the way. I'm very interested in musical patterns across various regions and geographically speaking. Ive said it before and I'll say it again, I think that's very telling of humanity more than we assume it credit.
