its mainly his work w/Joanna i admire so much, his approach to percussion is so similiar to mine. I had the pleasure of meeting him at her Charlottesville, VA show. I really do consider him a 'musical' hero.

there was a different 'fighter' mentality towards music-being on the pulse of it meant something different. it wasnt as accessible, and therefore you had to fight harder, and there's something to be said for that. thats all.

so if i had to pick a favorite era in music..

..it'd be the 90s. for many reasons, mostly nostalgic. been listening to a lot of old Cranberries lately, and thats ultimate nostalgia music for me. but just, the whole aura around music that once was. nothing against modern technology or anything, just something kind of special about standing in line, on a monday nite at tower, waiting for midnight..
