linguistics (obscure/endangered languages, i want to learn one/more..i found this tonite http://emeld.org/index.cfm)..new moon soundtrack..i love the end of alex's rock pop 'n roll i think it's that one, SONOS (wanting to start my own a capella group), my comedy venture group, it was weird, tonite i had this sudden urge to start speaking in another language..tongues??..no i have no idea where it came from, maybe watching euronews i have no idea, i do miss french class...anyway my mind is swarming it's hard to keep up sometimes/stay focused, thats been a big challenge lately, focus in general..OH, and how could i almost forget...PAUL RUDD, always and forever

Dead Man's Bones

so i'm digging this new ryan gosling band Dead Man's Bones (mainly 'in the room where you sleep').........also, i heard a great mash up sat. nite (dc101/flounder's), it was lil wayne's lollipop w/something but i dont know what the other something was..i emailed him, havent heard back, it was really good though, and i dont normally dig the mash up.
p.s.
just listened to the new charlotte gainsbourg/beck..has soo much potential but doesnt quite hit it, but its almost there....how frustrating!!

A prayer for the ear

ive said it before and i'll say it again, my 'vice' is listening to music..while at once this was unthinkable, ive found it to be stifling..so here's to disciplining myself NOT to listen to music for awhile..write more..when there's silence, there's flow, especially in the wee hours of the morning..say a prayer..(nothing really great out anyway, or maybe i'm just telling myself that..)

Le Loup

ive been listening to a lot of Le Loup lately..well today..i first heard them back about a yr. ago and they were just talking about them on NPR today so i checked back and they have this new awesome song called 'beach town'. i'm really loving them. (and they're local!) le loup on loop!

do you really have to be getting married to be registered somewhere? i'd like to get registered at Irregular Choice, for LIFE. is there a way i can register here even tho i'm not getting married??

Neon in VA!??

i cant believe i missed neon hitch...apparently she was at VA tech end of aug.??? how it slipped past me i have NO IDEA...not sure if she performed but her blog says she was there..again, ladies and gentlemen, Neon Hitch. the future of pop..'the voice' as i like to dub her..

yes so i saw some shows lately like back to back..first was the sounds 2 mondays ago (3rd time), day after was the ettes/juliette lewis show, and last tues. was my friend alex's show, and i've lost count of how many alex shows ive been to..juliette lewis is a ROCKSTAR. i'd go see her again any day and i recommend anyone to also. i really only went for the ettes and ended up loving her. good past couple weeks for shows!
