oh and..

i was thinking yesterday about some of my fav. singers, having some thoughts..i was thinking how neon hitch needs to be paired up with a different producer, someone who can really match her voice capacity with a suiting genre. anyone can do pop..you dont need a great voice to do pop..but her voice is capable of so much more. her pop is OK, nothing special, but i'd really love to hear her play in a genre that can showcase her VOICE (such as jazz/cabaret), her voice is so sultry..i think that'd be totally fitting. same w/katy perry, showcase the VOICE! again jazz/cabaret..along the lines of her unplugged which is why i was so excited for it. anyway, these singers have these amazing voices, i mean hell have neon do a cappella for all i care, SOMETHING to really capture the nuances..they tend to get drowned out by the beatz and stuff. just at some point, she needs to do this, we need to hear her voice in all its glory.

..oh same w/duffy, well..she's got it. i think what she's doing is totally appropriate for her voice. i LOVE her voice omg, she was just on the other day and i had almost forgotten how much i love her voice.

oh, so as i was scouring for more 'triangle walks' mixes (Fever Ray), i remembered how in new orleans, this song came on while we were in aldo..me and my sister looked at each other at the same time '!!?'..i broke down and asked the sales clerk..yeah somebody had to do it. but i'm glad i did b/c we woulda had no idea otherwise....and the verdict? 'St.Petersburg' by Brazilian Girls! probly one of the only brazilian girls songs i like, we both liked..:) wow, i am just now remembering that..how funny

and completely off-topic...its been a blizzard here, we got about a foot! most we've had in awhile so, very exciting..but anyway me and my roommate have had a lot of time to hang out, we were discussing old shows we grew up with, and she reminded me of secret world of alex mack! not sure why i'm blogging this..but..just reminiscing together the greatness of old nickelodeon..clarissa explains it all..salute your shorts..hey dude etc. i miss it!!

Alex's EP is now on iTunes! as of yesterday..i bought it:) it sounds great! his producer has really transformed these songs, especially 'stop letting me go'. hooray for 'Hey Katy Hey'!

its snowing out! (i will go out here shortly)..anyway, yesterday was chock full of goodness on music choice TV. first was pet shop boys, their song 'love etc.' (pet shop boys mix), ive actually i dont think ive ever listened to them before so that was a first. 2nd was this awesome new one by crystal method/emily haines called 'come back clean', i love it! lots of musical goodness yesterday that i am still jamming/cleaning to..yay snow!!! we have about a foot and counting..

all kinds of good stuff on 360 today~!

i cant really explain it..i dont know why, but i have always been obsessed w/accents. eartha kitt is one of my favorites..i dont even know what you call that, but i could literally listen to her read the phone book. (RIP Eartha..), but one of my first memories of this was in 5th grade..the british one. i had a friend whose mom was english, and i'd just freak out when she walked in. another memory is, i was in a k-mart once, same age, like 10..and i'm going down the aisle, all of a sudden i hear these british ppl talking and i get all excited, like thrilled, and i literally stalked them throughout the store as long as i could, just to hear them talk. so..its been since i was little thinking about it, but lately ive been keenly fascinated by obscure accents, the british one i'm kind of over but thats when it all started..i really love certain ones out of the U.K., like certain regions, but lately ive been noticing this cajun accent, and i guess b/c you dont really hear it, its obscure i am completely fascinated by it..plus aesthetically..its just really beautiful and interesting to listen to.
