been listening to a lot of norah jones lately..her new album is growing on me..and 'young blood' is good too, she's definitely progressed. 'sunrise' will probably always be my favorite. and i really like 'creepin in'

okay, just a couple weird things..so on perez last nite, he featured some singer named nneka, comparing her to lauryn hill..i JUST downloaded lauryn hill (to zion) yesterday (i havent listened to lauryn hill in probly years)..next, another i just downloaded, well monday, was calvin harris (you used to hold me), he was on music choice tv last nite (ive never seen him on there before and i watch pretty religiously)...??? hmmm

checking out this girl named Selah Sue..not sure what i think of it yet but..definitely caught my ear ('raggamuffin')..so far, sort of ani difranco-ish, very rhythmic guitars, reminds me of joanna newsom ('book of right on') on 'raggamuffin'..and bjorkish qualities about her voice..also matisyahu-y (reggae rhythms)..wow she's all over the board!..love when i cant quite put my finger on it:)

okay so, new music i'm most looking forward to in '10: neon hitch, ellie goulding, arcade fire, joanna newsom, what else...theresa andersson! what else..i'm sure there are more i havent been reading music blogs lately been slackin

oh and music i am LEAST looking forward to..well, if bjork keeps churning out the crap she has been then her..tori amos..wth happened to these people???? its so sad. these were me and my friends favorite people growing up, our heroes basically..bjork especially. but i'm beginning to believe my friend's theory: retire after 40..there's exceptions but more and more i'm seeing truth to that. PJ HARVEY! i hope she comes back too..not that john parish stuff either..OH, and where's TOM VEK!!!!!!!!???????? its the eternal question......'10 better be his year. '10 and BEYOND! it's amazing how much frustration/depression that's brought me..i think i need medication

so, if 09 was the year of hitchments/to be hitched (which it was), what will that mean for '10?.....divorce? i dont mean for any of my friends, but for paul rudd that would be different. so we can finally get hitched. and have neon hitch sing our wedding=) neon hitch serenading the hitchment..how perfect

and on another note..did my friend's french homework..twice now. apparently i remember everything..pleasantly surprising (i miss french so..)
