i have to post aGAIN!.....
i am so obsessed w/this song----its not even funny. Basically, i see punjabi/'bhangra'/middle eastern music, beats/instruments-as the 'future' of pop/dance music. What with the insane rhythms (so complex)-so detailed-the amount of DEtail..............................................! i cant help but (love it)-and see it making its way (more)-in to Pop. What with the omar souleyman/bjork collabs. and such, and stuff like that. i hope to see more of that. i really hear it it Pop music-which is the interesting part........................................... b/c........................................................ these sounds have been around for CENTURies......................................................... so basically, its like i hear old music-in 'new music'. -which is interesting. i think a revival (of sorts)-is going to happen-a 'reinvention' more than anything so to speak. -What with MIA-n stuff like that....................................THATs, the future........................................................ i think this also ties in to my 'romanian'/eastern european obsession/kick. What with Edward Maya, Alexandra Stan, and Inna (among others). theres a folk side to it-i cant explain-one that makes it unique to the region.

Envisioning a World.............................................
.....................................................with a music museum.
And not one-that just houses old instruments/recordings n so forth. One that houses/preserves modern stuff too. Whatever I deem 'museum-worthy'-lol ............no, but really. This is a world I envision. One where instruments and music (education)-is readily available and free. Completely democratic. A complete democratization of music. Ubiquitous-in the most extreme. Where a kid can raise his hand in class-b/c he 'has to go write a song'-and the teacher will let him leave. This is a world I envision. I dream of this world. Musicians are the ultimate superheroes. The key-holders. The wand-holders. The ultimate 'magicians'.
