Enjoy, which is a Bjork title

Do you have to know every ingredient in the chocolate bar or whatever in order to enjoy it? NO! you just enjoy it, thats sort of how i listen to music. i don't have to know what every lyric means or the poeticism going on necessarily. thats the intellect.

An initial music listen anyway should be purely visceral, just reactionary. how does it make you FEEL? don't try and dissect and over analyze the shit, did you enjoy it or did you not? Did the chocolate taste yummy? Then go and do your dissecting and reading down the ingredients and nutrition facts list if you want...

I see all these people in my Joanna Newsom facebook group like little investigators 'Oh I know what this line means!!' like doing this detective work. Thats fine and all but that is not how I listen to music especially her. Her music takes you on to a nother level, it is transcendental , it is indeed... otherworldly and I'm not sure she comes from Earth.

Anyway, just a reminder to take music on surface level first, do take it first for face value and whether or not you simply like or don't like how it sounds then go from there. Maybe one day I'll analyze all her lyrics but, I'm still too busy enjoying and digesting them to get that far. I question if she even wants you to understand all the little riddles weaved within. The inside joke sometimes is for a chosen few.

Also, nothing against these people who do, but I read along the lyrics to the song and they are beautiful and it doesnt bother me if I don't understand it 137% or whatever. A little mystery is good

The Behemoth that is Facebook.

What with the new 'trending' on the right side of your homescreen newsfeed page, you can see top trending stories like Twitter.

Facebook's really converted from an autobiographical based 'social' website to a more encompassing ever broadening 'news one'.

I am neither praising nor criticizing just an observation.
In other words you didnt used to go on facebook to get World news or that Crimea is in jeopardy again etc..

In efforts to 'amend' this or... Just my own advice/ suggestion, I would recommend facebook choose top stories from your friends. Like put the most 'liked' or whatever over in that right box 'trending'. Or mix it in... that would be interesting and more true to facebook 'form'. Whatever

Twitter Is not Enough--------

I need to find a way to transpose- all my 'tweets'- on to facebook....... (timeline). - I'm considering opening a new (fb) account in order to do this........ in order to 'timeline' my music- as I've been so keen on- since 'timeline'- opened. That's all I was interested/ excited about it for....... (was to see my music timelined). - N that's it. My dilemma now is....... not- blogging it per se, but not blogging it 'enough'. Twitter is no longer 'enough' for me.......... I need a 'higher tech' way to blog it. In an ideal/ 'perfect' world....... the minute I 'blogged' or tweeted something music related........ it'd automatically get categorized by genre/ region etc. And across time- see those waves/ ebbs/ flows/ patterns. I want a highly mathematical graph of what it is I'm listening/ am in to, at any given moment. I need a 'higher tech' blog......... what we have in existence isn't enough. I feel glad I can instantly tweet something..... n what not........ but that is no longer enough. I hope/ am sured this is already in the works......... I mean--- it has to be. I'm sure there is an 'app' for this......... but, I doubt my blackberry carries any such app. Anyhow- that is the future of blogging/ how I see music blogging. More details basically- more math- more graphs- more conclusions n disclusions n findings. I think music is more telling of people/ humanity than we think/ is given credit for. ---

p.s.

I've written about this 'dilemma'- before....... it's somewhere in the netherworld of this blog.

In an ideal 'blog'- I could voice activate 'Twitter entry'- and the related blog (entry) would instantly appear.......... :) And I could (instantly)- show the former writing on the matter.

This is Completely off- 'Kilter'- for me.....

i want to pose some questions:

(regarding Facebook/ Twitter)--- mostly Facebook.

So i got the thought this morning- is Facebook skewing our perceptions, of relationships? ..... What with all the 'liking', the like buttons n what not..... friends (u dont really talk to anymore)- but care to keep up with, asking you to 'like' their page n what not..... friends, maybe u (dont)- like anymore- but for whatever reason- havent (deleted).

Anyway- it just got me thinking about relationships, and the 'appearance' of them, and the 'skewed' perception (of them)- that i think Facebook brings.

i'm not calling this 'good or bad'- i'm not calling it 'out'. Just an observation. thats all.

i was a communication/media major in college so...... its my inner academia nerd coming out.....

listening to....... ! i heard a really good Sia 'breath me' remix last night!... (Mylo i believe).

Also- KT tunstall, 'Uummannaq Song'---- realllyyyyyyyyyyyyy good.

Anywho- you , (i'm finding, ) you 'like' their page... more n more... b/c as you go along........ you (of course)- want the same in return.......... (when its your turn)....... n.......... (even if u dont really talk to them anymore).

Anyway- just something interesting i'm observing as i go along.
An interesting dynamic

Hmmmm... I dont Know where to Begin:

I've had a lot on my mind (musically)- lately. First off: I have a confession: I switched- n started listening to KT Tunstall radio on Pandora. (*********GASPPPPPPPPPPPPP*****). This is the first, in a departure from 'Punjabi Girl'- radio. (and.. i gotta admit: it feels good). It feels really good to hear guitars again. There's definitely a yin n yang at work here.

Anyhow: its taking me back to the 90s, girl acoustic guitars n such, n i love it- n am nostalgic.

Also: ive been thinking lately how much I belong- in a 'music think tank'. Not in the 'industry' sense. But in the, 'app', technological sense. What's funny is- I have NO background in computers/ technology- nothing of the sort- no skill set there. Yet, all of my ideas (musically)- are technology based. Its frustrating (to say the least). All of these ideas/ concepts/ n no where to put them/ nothing to do with them/ all in my 'head'. It's to the point though where: that's not enough, and I wish to pursue these ideas aggressively. Sort of become my 'mission'. Conceptual is no longer enough. I have no idea where to begin- but plan to do 'something about it'. Twitter/ the face of 'blogging' as we know it- is about to change (if I have any control). Twitter is no longer enough for me. I need a new way to 'blog' pin my music- I was thinking this morning how 'Pinterest' might quench my thirst- but only for a while. Even that wouldnt be enough: my 'latest': a 'Voice blog'. so like 'Siri'- for music blogging. I hear a song, i like it, i wanna write about it- i'm out on the road or whatever/ doin what i'm doin/ n so i 'voice blog' it- n it blogs it for me. I need that. I need blogging to be that accessible n seamless. I cant always wait til I have a moment to 'sit down at the computer'- (and I think most ppl dont). Anyway: that is where I'm at musically. Also, been checking my 'Google stats' recently...... ha!....... didnt know I had any readers (1.)- and 2. didn't know many of them are in Russia!!???........ very interesting to say the least. N Ukraine too- so fascinating. Not many, but there are some, and any of it surprises me. I currently have 89 followers in Twitter too- n that is equally fascinating surprising. Fact that anyOne wants to read/ know what I'm listening to is the 'ultimate'. N totally flattering. Anywho: I belong in a music think tank somewhere... I want to go swimming in that. Put on my fins, n dive..

I was thinking this morning how: in a dreamworld: I wish facebook would let you timeline your music (n Only your music).

currently listening to: guitars! My friend Caitlin Schneiderman. n RIP Whitney Houston.........
